Sweeping, flowing European facial massage performed in traditional facials may soon be a thing of the past with newly revmped ancient facial tools being bought into the treatment sequence.
So it’s it time to jump on board or stick to what you know
Day spa experts Endota Spa re-launched their treatment menu in 2016 by removing the element of time and replacing it with intent. Thought process behind this is, if the therapist is engaged in the present moment with the client, then a 60 minute facial would have no more benefit than a 50 minute facial. Their Signature facial includes Jade Rollers, which are used warm or cool to promote an additional element of luxe and relaxation.
Natural product brand, Herbivore Botanicals, recently added Rose Quartz Gua Sha Tools to their consumer choice of facial massage tools. “The GuaSha tool can help to move qi (energy in the meridians), increase blood circulation and move lympthtic fluid so the skin can begin to heal and regenerate itself with ease”, say’s the brand via their Instagram @herbivorebotanicals
Regular facial massage provides similar benefits, without the ‘wow’ facial tool factor.
Will this trend last or pass?
